10W30 - Mineral Base (Conventional) - Is designated for use in All Yamaha Outboards but is recommended for use in the states Virginia and North where air and water temperatures have a more varied ambient range.
While the 5W30 Oil is mandatory for the Large V6 SHO units, it is not Demanded for this engine range. There is no Synthetic Oil kit offered for this engine range from Yamaha but the 5W30 Oil will provide the Maximum protection for your engine.
